When selecting a company to provide Coronavirus Disinfection services, it is important that you select a company like Pursuit Restoration, that is OSHA compliant and follows the most up to date CDC guidelines for Coronavirus.

“Each employer shall furnish to each of its employees and a a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to its employees.”

This is stated from OSHA under the General Duty Clause, 29 USC 654, section 5(a)(1)

The coronavirus is not listed as an exception to recording illness in the 29 CFR 1904.5(b)(2). This means that if an employee contracts Coronavirus from another employee or through exposure on a job site it must be recorded for that business with OSHA.

There is a requirement to contact OSHA to actually REPORT a fatality or hospitalization if it is from Coronavirus. In the case of a death, an OSHA inspection and investigation would follow and could result in a fine if the company didn’t take measures when they knew about it and should have.

What is Remediation?

Biohazard remediation  could sound like standard cleaning to some. In reality, the two services are very different. Biohazard remediation refer to the removal, cleaning, and disinfection of blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially harmful pathogens in the affected areas after a death, accident, or communicable disease spread. The high exposure risk to pathogens makes Biohazard remediation a specialty service that requires proper training, equipment, certification, and licensing. Without the proper training, equipment and certifications the risk of spreading a pathogen is very high.

3-STEP Remediation Process

Pursuit Restoration follows a 3-Step remediation process.

  • After a thorough inspection has been done proper containment is set up with an AFD( Air Filtration Device) with claims to clean air up to 99.97% microns. This is smaller than smoke particles.
  • All Technicians wear complete PPE, including but not limited to a full suit, gloves, full face respirator.
  • Then the cleaning and removal process starts which includes the use of cleaning products and cleaning agents approved for health and safety remediation.
